On Saturday, October 19th, 40 cyclists biked around the city tour for the “Tour de Brew”, a bike tour of Chicago breweries benefiting the Academy for Global Citizenship. This year, bikers enjoyed a tour and taste at six breweries, some long-established — Goose Island, who celebrated their 25th anniversary this May– and some brand new — Off Color, who opened just this May! Thanks to Half Acre Beer Company, Lake Effect Brewing Company, Finch’s Beer Co., Off Color Brewery, Revolution Brewing and Goose Island for welcoming us for a tour and taste.

The first Tour de Brew in June 2012 visited Half Acre, Metropolitan Brewing, Begyle Brewing, the Village Tap, Revolution Brewing, and Haymarket Brewery.
The Tour de Brew is the brainchild of Spikeball Founder and passionate AGC advocate, Chris Ruder. Spikeball is a portable game that has been described as the lovechild of volleyball and four-square and has gained a passionate following on beaches and backyards around the world.
