Much like the Academy for Global Citizenship, Hannah’s Bretzel was founded with a commitment to sustainability, encouraging healthy choices and exposing hardworking Chicagoans to the best quality foods: whole grain, organic and all natural.
While AGC was re-imagining public education on the southwest side of the city, Hannah’s Bretzel was re-imagining fast food in the loop. Their sandwiches, made on savory pretzel rolls from the finest ingredients (wild Alaskan smoked salmon, local brie, crunchy watercress) are the pinnacle of quick green eats.
Since 2008, Hannah’s has been a proud supporter of our school, donating time and resources annually to help support AGC’s organic food program, wellness education and innovative nutrition initiatives.
This Earth Day, Hannah’s Bretzel will donate 25 percent of sales on Earth Day (Monday, April 22) from all five Hannah’s Bretzel locations and from all catering orders to support the Academy for Global Citizenship’s nutrition and gardening efforts.
“Health is not only limited to food intake, but it’s also how we interact with the community,” says Hannah’s Bretzel founder, Florian Pfahler. “For us, there are two parts to the equation: serving healthy food and playing a role in encouraging consumers to engage in health and wellness and be more responsible to the environment.”
Support two amazing green organizations this Monday and buy a sandwich or two or ten from any of five Hannah’s Bretzel locations in the loop.
