Two of our favorite local farmers, Bob and Jenny Borchardt at Harvest Moon Farms, donated 200 pounds of fresh and beautiful organic asparagus to AGC! We have been enjoying asparagus frittata for breakfast, asparagus and quinoa for lunch, and have even tucked bundles of crispy asparagus into the backpacks of our students to enjoy with their families for dinner!
Our students have enjoyed welcoming Bob and Jenny into their classrooms this year to select seeds for spring planting, in addition to learning more about where our food comes from. Someday when we’re old enough, we’d like to venture to your farm in Wisconsin for a sleepover in the chard fields!
