We’re so excited to share that our kindergarten teacher, Nora Ryan, was just awarded an Earthwatch Fellowship to study climate change in Ecuador this summer. The research station is on the eastern slope of the Andes above the Amazon basin.
The research will look at “how the survival strategies of caterpillars, plants, and parasites are affected by a changing climate. Data from this site will be compared with data from sites in Costa Rica, Arizona, and New Orleans, painting an ecological picture that spans the hemisphere.” Here is one of the little creatures Nora is going to study!
